well, our camera decided to stop working after only one day in costa rica, so i only have a few pics to share, and after weeks of trying (we have been back several weeks now) somehow i got it to work long enough to download some pictures to the computer...yay! this is the crew: me, husband adam, elder cliff and grom hunter...very interesting dynamics, i know. beside us is the real trooper of costa rica 2008...the "bandita azul" aka the blue bandit. i have no idea how this tiny car and its even tinier wheels got us safely from san jose to santa teresa to mal pais to playa hermosa to jaco to esterios (im sure i butchered the spellings). god was definitely looking out for us! little did we know it was about a 24 hour trip to mal pais, but so worth it!
this is adam and me on the ferry from paquera to punteranos. it took about an hour and a half, and we had amazing views of islands and mountains the whole time!

the boys...how cute. this was the beach break right in front of our hotel, luz de vida. don't be deceived, those waves are ginormous, at least for me. i thought i was going to die a few mornings paddling out, but after 30-45 minutes after getting worked on the inside i would finally make it out to catch the most fun waves of my life! this is where the camera lost its life, so my pictures really don't do mal pais any justice for how beautiful it was. i guess you will just have to go and see for yourself one day!
